DOES AFRICA'S FUTURE REST ON "TECH-PRENEURS"?

To the question if the fate of Africa rests on the "tech-takers", I would say: no.

The African continent is not yet gone through all the necessary stages of development, so that technologies are central to its future emergence.

Take the case of the US, Europe and some Asian countries which are technological innovation poles. These regions of the world, are first passed by economic change in which they were investing heavily in key sectors such as education, health, transport, housing, tourism, trade, research...Before you can access advanced technologies. That appear as the ultimate phase of development of economies have reached their saturation cycle.

How do we explain then the craze of young African as well as, foreign investors in the place of this industry if not, by imitation?

It is very unlikely that Africa docks advanced technologies, if the basic needs of its people are not satisfied.

To date, Africa has more need to develop sectors such as energy and agriculture that can create thousands or millions of jobs for its young people (15- 25) mainly, unemployed or underemployed (grants our article on youth unemployment in Africa). She did not need to see the emergence of Amazon, Ebay, Alibaba Uber or the African all kinds ...Which are products or services to regions of the world that have achieved a certain standard of living.

Well, regarding our modest relative contribution to the question:The future of Africa it based on "tech-takers".

GROWTH IN SOUTH ASIA.

In South Asia, the outlook is for 2015 and 2016 broadly stable economy and an acceleration of growth, albeit with risks concentrated on the foreheads of fiscal and structural reforms.

The region is expected to record a real growth of 6% in 2015 and 6.4% in 2016, against 5.4% in 2014.This development could make South Asia the second region to experience the fastest growth in the world after the East Asia and the Pacific.

  • Risks
South Asia remains vulnerable as all regions of the developing world, the effects of tighter monetary policy in a US economy on track to redressement. And to stagnation in the weaker countries of the Euro Zone .

  • INDIA
The Indian economy, which represents 80% of production in this region is expected to grow by 6.4% during the 2015/2016 financial year after an increase of 5.6% during the 2014/2015 financial year. This stimulus is due to "the Modi effect" appears to be a real hope for the Indian nation.

Economic growth should benefit from the recovery in the US economy that would constitute a market for exports of Indian products and services.

Private investment should be accelerated because of the option in favor of the companies taken by the government sector. And the decline of oil prices should give a boost to the competitiveness of the private sector.

  • PAKISTAN
In the second largest economy in the region, it is the question of whether the recent political unrest has undermined investor confidence and weakened ducoup growth prospects. The losses associated with these disorders are estimated at 2.1% of GDP in the short term.Growth is when with it, estimated at 4.4% this year against 4.1% for the previous year.

  • BANGLADESH
It should register 6.2% growth under the 2014/2015 financial year. For reviving political stability and a new policy focused on growth.

So, regarding our modest relative contribution to growth in South Asia.

GROWTH IN EAST ASIA AND PACIFIC.

The East Asia and Pacific region is the main engine of global growth since the start of the international financial crisis. And this trend should remain stable except turning extraordinary situation.

This economic dynamism in the region is explained by stronger global growth already observed in 2014.

The growth rates in East Asia projected to be between 7.1% and 7.3% or less in 2015.Despite, a slowdown from the average growth rate of 8% for 2009-2013.

Chinese growth to when it should observe a slight decrease from 7.7% to 7.6% (see our previous article on the Chinese growth).

Some risks could nevertheless affect these regional forecasts. For example, a slower than expected economic recovery in developed countries, higher prices for interest rates and increased volatility in commodity prices resulting from recent geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe, remind us that Asia East remains vulnerable to the vagaries of the international situation.

By cons, as we have seen with the gradual withdrawal of easing from the Federal Reserve in 2013, the East Asian countries manage to overcome external shocks, such as a possible reversal of capital flows, thanks to the flexibility of their regimes change. They also feature mostly sufficient reserves to withstand temporary commercial and external shocks.

To maintain a high growth rate in the longer term, the East Asian developing countries should redouble their efforts to pursue structural reforms in order to strengthen their latent potential growth and market confidence.

Structural reforms are essential to reduce vulnerabilities and ensure long-term sustainable growth.

China has already initiated a series of reforms in finance, market access, mobility of labor and taxation in order to increase the efficiency of growth and boost demand interior.Over time, these measures will sit the economy on a more stable basis, more inclusive and sustainable. Some initiatives already announced by the government as a tax reform and reduction of barriers to private investment, could also stimulate short-term growth.

If they are successful, the reforms in China could have tremendous positive effects on trading partners that supply in agricultural products, consumer goods and modern services. However, a disorderly adjustment of the Chinese economy would have negative impacts on regional and global growth, particularly in countries dependent on natural resource exports.

So, regarding our modest contribution relative to growth in East Asia and the Pacific.
